About Action Taxidermy
Action Taxidermy & Game Processing is a family run business, started in 2005 by Eric and Carla Whirley. We are conveniently located just off I-70 in Gypsum. We are 140 miles west of Denver, central to Vail, Aspen and Steamboat where big game abound in all directions.
Eric started his taxidermy career in 1998, when he interned with good friend and master taxidermist Greg Tenney.
Knowledge, skill and attention to detail makes all the difference when it comes to quality. We are passionate about the work we do and feel privileged to make art for our customers. The wide eyes and smiling faces when you see your trophy for the first time is most important to us!
We are licensed by the Colorado Department of Agriculture as custom game processors and can tailor your order to best suit the needs of you and your family. We also have a state of the art humidity controlled walk in cooler to properly store and age your wild game.
We are truly a one-stop shop. We do high-end quality taxidermy utilizing the most modern techniques available. Our prices are competitive and turn-around times run from 6-10 months, in most cases.
Taxidermy and processed meat can be shipped anywhere in the country. All you have to do is aim true and bring your wild game to us, we’ll take care of the rest!
